Collaborative practice agreements (CPA) or collaborative drug therapy management (CDTM) agreements are the most common mechanism by which prescribers (physicians, nurse practitioners, and others) can delegate to pharmacists the authority to initiate, alter, and monitor medications in the context of interprofessional patient care teams.
